Born in 1995 in Innsbruck/Austria, he received his first lessons on the trombone at the tender age of 6 years at music schools in Innsbruck and Hall. He attended the music high school (Musikgymnasium) in Innsbruck, had additional lessons on the trombone with Lito Fontana, and continued with a very intense musical training at the Tirol State Conservatory.

Alexander Steixner studied with Prof. Daniel Bovin since 2013 at the Mozarteum in Salzburg where he will soon take his final examinations. Although still young, Alexander Steixner has made himself known as an exceptional musician. In addition to the prizes won at music contests “Prima la Musica” and the renowned Jan Koetsier contest in Munich, he participated in many master classes to round off his training.

Of course, orchestras in Tirol (a region located partially in both Austria and Italy) took note of this young particularly talented musician which resulted in his helping out in these orchestras:  Symphony Orchestra Vorarlberg, Philharmony Salzburg, Tirol Symphony Orchestra Innsbruck.

HARMONIC BRASS succeeded in winning this exceptionally gifted musician from Tirol for their ensemble straight from college. And so Alexander Steixner plays the trombone with HARMONIC BRASS since the summer of 2018.

Studied Tuba with Prof. Jörg Wachsmuth in Dresden, at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Prof. Andreas Hofmeir and at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Kopenhagen with Jens Björn-Larson.

He performed with the following Orchestras: Festival Orchestra Erl and Philharmonie Südwestfalen.

She studied Trumpet as main subject as well as barouque Trumpet, Jazz and High School teaching as subsidiary subjects with Prof. Wolfgang Guggenberger at the University of Music in Trossingen/Germany.

She graduated with honors and received the Univesity degree Diploma, which is the german equivalent to a Masters degree.

In the Concert Seasons 2012/2013 she was employed as Trumpeter by the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra and in the Concert Season 2013/2014 she could further develop her Orchestra Playing as an employed Trumpeter with the Orchestra of  the Wuerttembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen.

Since spring 2018 she is also teaching Trumpet at the University of Music in Trossingen/Germany.

Studied Trumpet and composition with Prof. Paul Lachenmaier, Rolf Quinque and Wolfgang Guggenberger at the Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium Munich as well as the Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater München and graduated with honors.

For many years he has been employed as a Trumpet player with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester. During his time there he has performed with the Orchestra on many CD-recordings and Live Radio-broadcasts.

Being an excellent composer and arranger of Music, Hans Zellner has made a name for himself and of course is a regular Member in the curia of composers with the GEMA (German Society of Authors, Composers & Publishers rights).

Studied French Horn with Prof. Siegfried Hammer and Prof. Wolfgang Gaag at the Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater München.

He graduated with honors and received his Univesity degree Diploma, which is the german equivalent to a Masters degree.

For many years he has been a regular Member of the Jazz Band Mind Games and performed with well known Jazz-Artists like Claudio Roditi and Til Broenner.

In 2017 he was nominated for the German Echo Jazz Award as best Instrumentalist.

Besides his versatility as a Musician he is also a gifted writer and composer. During HARMONIC BRASS concerts he is entertaining the Audience with charming and humorous announcements in between the Music.
